More fun at Build-A-Bear Workshop

So, I recently decided to try out a new site called smiley360.com, which allows you to try new products and share your experiences with them.  On a lot of these sites I've found that you have to use your own money up front then hope that you get reimbursed from the company, which I'm not a fan of.  I was more than pleasantly surprised when smiley360.com sent me a giftcard UPFRONT to take my daughter to Build A Bear workshop.  I wasn't going to turn down free money ($40) and I was so impressed with the company that I wanted to do this for them and do a good job.  So, off we went, and we had a blast.  This wasn't our first time at the store http://www.buildabear.com/shopping/ but it was her second time making a new friend.  Eva chose to make Twilight Sparkle, one of the new generation My Little Pony's.  I still love watching the looks on the kids faces as the doll fills up, but what takes the cake is when staff has them recite a poem with the new heart that's going inside.  They all look blown away, magical. After giving their new friend a tight squeeze, they're off to the "bathing station", and it's super sweet to see how much care they put in to cleaning them off.  Next is the fun of picking out their new outfit, so much to choose from! Last, but not least, is creating the Birth Certificate, what fun to see that! We had a great time, and can't wait to go again.

Adventures with Eva

It's been so long! Made a big move to Florida at the end of April, so the next chapter of adventure in our lives has begun.  Been busy joining boat clubs, going to the beach, eating at the dine-in movie theater, and just having fun in the sun.  Being in a new state means having a new job and new school for us.  Since I last wrote we have traveled to Puerto Rico several times and explored different parts of the island, been to Bonaire and Aruba for some shore-snorkeling and boating, been soaked by the falls in Niagara, and so much more!  Now that I'm on a "normal person schedule", meaning no more midnight shifts, random doubles, working holidays or feeling like a zombie all day, every day, I may be able to keep up with this blog.  Here's to the future!
